I originally started a blog in 2008 as a way to process the high-minded theological things I was learning in seminary. Over time (and beyond graduation) it morphed into a blog that focused on matters facing The United Methodist Church, church growth and leadership, and other assorted things.

Over the years I felt myself losing steam over in the blogosphere. When I found Substack was being used by authors I enjoyed, I decided to do a little homework on what it would look like to make a transition myself as a way of taking on a new challenge.
